I am a naturalist, gardener, interpreter, explorer, and Minnesotan. Documenting the wonders of the natural world around me. Sharing thoughts on environmental education, gardening, nature, outdoor recreation, and all the great things Minnesota has to offer.
Currently, I am working at a conservation in northern Minnesota teaching environmental education, outdoor recreation, and conservation practices to youth; and it has got to be the best job! Everyday I learn something new about natural history, or wildlife, or education, and so much more. I have always been an outdoor enthusiast and sharing that joy of experiencing nature with others, and witnessing people discover that joy, is what drives me in my work.
Please, share comments, thoughts, questions, and stories. I am hoping this blog will be an instrument for developing a personal method of nature interpretation, a discovery of things not yet learned, and a place to learn from others.
“Our ability to perceive quality in nature begins, as in art, with the pretty. It expands through successive stages of the beautiful to values as yet uncaptured by language.”
― Aldo Leopold,
